1. Treat all other players with respect. We're here to have fun, people.
This means no negative comments about race, gender, politics, etc. Make pirates, not prejudice.
2. Mind you, some in character comments, if approprite, are not forbidden. Just don't make them too over-the-top. Piracy is a genre that does have a tendancy towards sexism, after all.
3. While you are allowed to use other people's characters, please please please do so responisbly. Do not make them act out of character, do not abuse them for your own character's benefit, do not make them enter romantic relationships that are out of character and do not, ever, kill or seriously maim someone else's character.
If you have that other person's consent for these things, of course, it's fine. After all, trauma builds character.
4. Swearing and violence are both allowed. What sort of pirate game would this be without swearing and violence?
5. That said, beyond making out, keep the naughty stuff in the naughty section. It's there for a reason, people. If you need the password and your age checks out, just ask.
6. Respect your fellow players. I cannot stress this enough, people.
7. Have fun. It's just a game. Remember, we're here to make a story, not exclude or demoralize you. Drop me an email if something's wrong or you have new plot ideas for your character.
8. If I realize I've missed something, these rules are subject to change without warning. I will try to make it a reply rather than an edit, though, so it's obvious something new has been added.
