Cassiopeia finished relating her plan, and Tina grinned.
"Go for it," the skinny goth girl proclaimed excitedly. "I know Beau would love it. And so would half the guys on this ship, if I read 'em right."
Cassi just blushed a little at that, not quite sure how to interpret that last bit, especially coming from a girl who was very obviously bisexual. Meanwhile Clara, who was currently cuddling with Tina while still somehow maintaining that they were just friends, blinked in confusion.
"I don't understand the purpose of such a thing," the cat girl pronounced. "Is it a mating display?"
Tina chuckled. "It can be, if you do it right." The redhead turned to look up at her, blinking.
"And how does one 'do it right?'"
Cassi cleared her throat somewhat loudly at that point, not wanting to be a party to the conversation that was bound to ensue.
"Well if we're gonna do this, I'm gonna need an escort off the ship. And somebody to distract Andi for me. Got any ideas?" Clara cocked her head to the side slightly.
"You could have the pilot take you. She would think it funny. And the large man with all the guns. Mother would be happy with him for protection, so she would not stop you from leaving. And the skinny, loud one with the big wrench. He could distract your sister long enough for us to slip away and then return, unnoticed."
The other two girls thought of that for a moment before nodding in agreement. So, a moment later the three of them were approaching Jane on the bridge. Who cackled gleefully after Cassi had the reason she wanted to leave the ship for a brief outing on the Cove.
"Teen rebellion? I'm totally there. Let's go!"
Their next stop was Dane's room, who opened the door shirtless with one of his myriad guns half disassembled in his hands. He blinked somewhat worriedly at the three teen female faces staring up at him.
"Uh . . . yeah?"
"Dane, I need you to come with me into the Cove," Cassi pronounced, putting on her best pouty face, silver eyes blinking up imploringly. "It's important."
The man gulped. "What . . . what for?" When she told him, he blanched. "Oh hell no. I like having my private parts right where they are, in fully functioning order thank you very much. Your sister would castrate me in a heart-beat--,"
"Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaseeeeeeeeee?" Cassiopeia whimpered. "It could be like an early birthday present. Pretty, pretty please?"
"Yeah, Dane," Tina joined in, her own glowy green eyes batting. "How could you possibly say no to that pretty face?"
Clara remained silent, though a faint knit of concentration on her face hinted she might be abusing a bit of her empathic abilities, causing Dane to suddenly flush red for a minute and then nearly drop his gun.
"Oh God, I'm goin' to the special hell," he groaned out painfully.
And then it was time for the three of them to scamper off to the engine room. TK stared at them all, wrench in hand, though for the first time the asian engineer looked like he wasn't quite sure what he should be doing with it.
"You want me to do what with the where for the why?"
"Please T.K.," Cassi pleaded. "I'll never ask you for another thing for like the rest of the year if you do this. I promise."
Again, Clara gave a faint stare of concentration, and all of a sudden the slender engineer's face turned a somewhat uncomfortable pink. Suddenly looking everywhere but directly at the nubile blonde in front of him.
"Yah, sure, whatever. Get right on it," he spat out in a rush.
"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" Cassi burst out, not quite understanding the consequences when she leapt forward and threw her arms around his neck. T.K.s face turned a darker shade of red, going as stiff as a board. When she let him go, he turned away.
"Ryan!" he roared. "Get over here!"
The three girls watched somewhat bemusedly as one of T.K.s engineers stepped over. "Yah boss?"
That's all he got out before the wrench came whipping around, cracking him across the face and sending Ryan to the floor in a heap. Cassi gaped, while T.K. sighed in relief. "There. Now I feel better."
Tina just chuckled, while Clara shook her head and rolled her eyes, muttering about "ridiculous human tendencies of denying their natural impulses."
Cassiopeia was, of course, oblivious as to what that meant, exactly.
A half hour later, Jane and Dane led the three girls through the Cove. None of the thieves or cutthroats dared to bother them, what with the amount of hardware that Dane was currently strapped down with. Cassi skipped along beside her friends, filled with nervous anticipation.
"They dragged me in using their way-too-young, unfair feminine wiles," Dane pronounced somewhat grumpily. "How in the hell did you get roped into this?"
Jane just laughed. "Hell are you kidding? I volunteered. Seeing the look on Andromeda's face when she finds out about this alone will keep me entertained for years."
A moment later the older pirates were leading them into one of the nicer, more respectable tattoo parlors on the Cove. The extremely tatoooed man behind the counter gave them an appraising eye. "How can I help ye?" he questioned.
Cassi bounced forward eagerly. "I wanna get a tattoo," she exclaimed, excited. The older guy blinked down at her, then sighed.
"Well you're underage," he pronounced. "I'm gonna need to have a guardian's consent form."
There was a slight pause of silence, and then the tattoo artist as well as Dane and Jane all threw their heads back and roared with laughter at the thought.
"Naw, seriously kid, wha'dya want?" he questioned then, pulling out a large black binder. "Got anything specific in mind?"
"I know where I want it," she told him with a sigh, beginning to flip through the various styles. "I'm not quite sure what tho . . . "
After a few minutes, however, she stopped and then grinned down at the black jolly roger, the right eye consisting of a red heart, and the words 'Pirate Booty' in calligraphy beneath the crossed sabers. She pointed at it with a crow of delight.
"That one! I want that," she continued, then pointed to her right hip bone. "Right there."
The tattoo artist just grinned, while Dane put his face in his hand and groaned somewhat pitiably. "I'm dead. I'm gonna die. This is it."
Jane and Tina however immediately agreed wholeheartedly with her choice. The tattoo artist motioned with his hand for her to follow him toward the chair.
"Go for it," the skinny goth girl proclaimed excitedly. "I know Beau would love it. And so would half the guys on this ship, if I read 'em right."
