Captain Hart found herself in the brig, staring darkly at the man who had used her sixteen years ago. Swindled her virginity. Taken her child. Ruined her life.
Anton LeValle glanced back at her passionlessly. "What do you want, Josetta? Here to end my life?"
"The children, Anton."
"What children?" He replied.
"A frieghter full of magi children in stasis. What were they for?" She asked.
"Did the stasis fluid work? I've been wondering if it wasn't a tad too.." He began, but Hart slammed her hand against the wall.
"Give me an answer, Anton." She snarled.
"Why?" He questioned. "Why should I give you the satisfaction of anything, Miss Wright?"
"Hart. It's Hart now." She countered. "I control your well-being, Anton. I decide when you live or die. You always have a chance for escape while alive. Tell me what I want to know or you end."
"You're going to kill me anyway. Why should I tell you?"
"You're going to die anyway and we both know the answer will enrage me." Josetta replied.
"Very well. The original plan, Josetta, was simple. We were going to try to integrate their mage dna into Clara." He replied.
"How? Why did you need them in stasis?"
"Meat needs to stay fresh." Anton smirked, and saw the look of horror and revulsion on Jo's face.
"You were going to feed them to my daughter?! You were going to...oh my god...." Jo stepped back. "You monster!"
"If it worked on Clara, then anyone could have powers like that. With the loss of some raw material, humanity would be on the path to a golden age. Once, of course, Project Savage was cleared up enough to take her rightful place as the ultimate life form." Anton continued, ranting.
Jo could not kill him. She did not want to touch him or talk to him or look at him. Instead, she rushed to her room, turned the shower on as hot as she could, and scrubbed every part of her skin nearly raw that had, ever, touched Anton LeValle.
