When Anton was loaded onto the ship, he was almost immediately moved to the primary airlock. Annabelle was waiting for him.
"Sis, oh, I'm glad to see you. I..." He did not finish. Annabelle slapped him. With the metal hand.
"Enough. You have been found guilty of two counts of conspiracy to commit murder and are in strong suspicion of the third." Captain LeValle said coldly. "How do you plead?"
"Sis, please, I didn't...." Annabelle kicked him in the chest.
"Throw him in the airlock." The Captain commanded. Her soldiers did as they were told.
"Please. I'll pay you anything, let me go. Kill that whore! You'll get millions! Shoot her in the back and let me go!" Anton pleaded. His cries fell on the deaf ears of her loyal soldiers.
Annabelle closed the hatch and began decompression. Anton pounded and pleaded on the other side of the soundproof door. A tear slowly dropped down Annabelle's face, but she did not turn away as the other hatch opened, Anton's eyes bursting, his veins breaking under his skin, her brother sucked out into the inky blackness of space.
And then Captain LeValle, with dignity and stoicism, walked to her cabin, where she poured herself a drink and began to sob, mourning her mother, her father, her brother, and the last shreds of the innocence she could never again know.
