"Once again, Captain LeValle, you fail us."
Annabelle LeValle was standing at attention in the tribunal chamber on Luna. With the death of most of the governing bodies of the solar system, they were now in complete and total control. Which also meant, given Death Adder was the leader of the tribunal, that Mamba now owned the solar system.
"I accomplished my mission. I found Hart. Hart is now energized and will be a thorn in everyone's side soon enough." LeValle replied calmly. "Which is far more than I can say for you three."
"Excuse me?" The army representative balked.
"You continue to send more and more troops after Savage. You send them to their deaths fully confident that you can beat them, but so far, this has accomplished nothing. You lose control over," One of them started to interject, but LeValle shouted over him, "you lose control over a colony and decide to bomb it from orbit. Yes, I lost a ship and many lives, but I did my duty to the best of my ability. You are not. You are putting the lives of humanity on the line and you are losing them in a desperate gamble."
"And what would you do?" Death Adder growled. "What do you know, LeValle?"
"Go defensive. Stop monitoring and controling low-powered mages." LeValle said immediately. "Stop sending people to die against Clara and build up every advantage we have. Those being established entrenchments, greater numbers, and better weaponry and technology."
"You would let the magi go? Simply roll over to Savage's demands?" The naval rep sneered.
"If the magi have no reason to turn on us they won't. They'll chose to live peacefully rather than kill their cousins in the bloodiest war in human history." LeValle replied coldly. "We are losing this war, gentlemen. Your strategy is not working."
"Stand down, LeValle, and maybe you'll still be a cadet when this is all over." Death Adder growled.
"Priority override seven dash niner dash romeo enigma delta." Annabelle said calmly, and then, suddenly, all of the defensive measures in the room faded--force fields powered down, motion tracking guns drooped, surveilance shut off. "It turns out that your security officers agree with me." Her hook and rapier were both out, and LeValle advanced on the tribunal.
"What are you doing LeValle?" Death Adder asked, reaching slowly for a sword under his podium.
"Vote of no confidence." Annabelle then lashed out quickly, downing the first two in a pair of beheadings and slashing out at Death Adder, who blocked with his longsword.
"Look at that. Two abstains from the tribunal." LeValle said with a cold smirk. Death Adder shoved her away and made a swift overhand chop, which LeValle deftly avoided.
"You've been behind a desk too long, Death Adder. Third Snake's gotten a bit soft around the edges." LeValle chided as she blocked another slash, disarmed him with her hook, and steped in to stab him through the gut. By now she was coated in blood, from the spray from the pair of decapitated military men.
"Oh. Looks like three abstains. Guess the vote of no confidence passes." Annabelle ripped her sword from Death Adder's body and then backhanded him with her hook. His head toppled to the ground a moment before his body.

The tribunal door opened, and out stepped Annabelle LeValle. Around her blood-soaked uniform was the Prime Minister's sash. Hayden stared at her for a good several minutes, eyes wide and jaw dropped.
"Mister Douglas, I need a press conference and a shower. Set it up for half an hour from now and have a fresh uniform sent to me." She said calmly and coldly as she walked down the hall, soldiers and personnel staring at her the whole time during her walk to her room. And every single one noticed that, for the first time most of them could remember, Annabelle was smiling.
